Our Services

Care & Safety first

When your child joins the nursery, safety, care and happiness will be our primary concerns. We will appoint a named member of staff to help them integrate by supporting children as individuals ensuring stability, individual attention and consistency of care. All staff working within the nursery will be required to undertake a full Dis-closure and Barring Services check (DBS check) to ensure their suitability to work with babies and children.

Nursery admissions and opening times

Little Miss Muffet’s offers care for children from 3 months up to 5 years of age. We provide full and part time day care for 51 weeks of the year, closing only for statutory holidays and a week over the Christmas holiday period.

Our hours of opening are 7:30 am-6:00pm daily with the option of choosing either full time or part time places.

Food & Nutrition

We believe a good diet is essential for happy, well developed, healthy children therefore we offer well planned meals that use fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Our menus are varied and all the food is freshly prepared daily in our own newly refurbished kitchen by our resident cook. The weekly menu is displayed in the nursery and under the Parents Section on our website.

We can cater for most dietary needs avoiding any allergies as defined by you. For older children and babies able to eat themselves we provide a nutritious breakfast (up to 8:30 a.m.), fruit and milk or water as a snack mid morning, a two course cooked lunch and an afternoon tea. Younger babies will be given the milk and weaning food you have provided, at times that suit their individual needs.

Filtered drinking water is available for all children at all times. Lunchtime is important in the Nursery, the children have the same food and eat together at the tables in the playrooms. This is a great opportunity to encourage the tasting of new flavours and enjoying the social side of mealtimes.

Outdoor Learning.

We are committed to the importance of outdoor play and learning.

Children have access to our nursery garden in all weathers. We recognise that children need regular access to outdoor play in order to pro-mote a healthy lifestyle, keep fit and develop gross and fine motor control and coordination. Outdoor play and learning in a natural environment helps to nurture a variety of skills including independence, exploration, investigation, risk taking and self-esteem.
